Happy Monday to you!   It is a rainy and cool morning and I love it!   I spent the morning reading a Joyce Meyer Book, "The Battle is the Lord's and God spoke so many things to my heart through her book. Let me encourage to read this book if you are going through difficult times.

So. Fall is here and I am happy.  This week our temps will be in the 70's and it will feel more like fall.

Catch Up

I haven't written a catch up post from last weekend.

First, the weather was beautiful and gorgeous and sunny and cool!   It felt like Fall.

Friday was College Game Day (wear your school's colors day) and decked myself in my orange and white clothes and jewelry and shoes. :)    I did my errand running and grocery shopping that day because I wanted to enjoy the first Saturday of SEC football.

We had friends come over and we ate good.  Tailgating, football food is just plain good.   I was excited about the Vols winning their first game with a new coach and staff.  In fact, we have a very young team.  Anyway, this weekend we have a hard game but I am hoping for another win!

Sunday was church and we had a great service.  Sunday school we are doing a study on Jonah from Priscilla Shirer.  We watched a video and it was so good.  The sermon paralleled the video and I know God is trying to get  a point across when that happens. :-)    After church we came home and ate leftovers from Saturday.  I made a Cajun 15 bean soup and my friend made the best potstickers with a delicious sauce!

Labor Day we started celebrating my birthday.  We grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, chips and birthday cake.   We were so lazy all weekend. It was nice.

Tuesday was my actual birthday and it was another lazy and peaceful day.   I sat outside in my swing and enjoyed another gorgeous day. Thank you Lord.   We are all so busy and I feel like all we do is rush rush rush every week and I am thankful God gave me a peaceful birthday and weekend.  A blessing.   I had the best birthday dinner. My friend and "daughter" Georgia grilled out steaks and made baked potatoes and sauteed onions and mushrooms and a Greek salad.  Delicious.

The next morning I woke up with a sore throat and it went down hill fast.   It feels like the flu. My whole body hurts including my face.  Yesterday I spent the day in bed and on the couch.  I am feeling some better today. I plan on staying in bed today and hopefully will
feel better tomorrow.   The price we pay for this time of year and living so close to the mountains. lol

I hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend.   For the game Saturday I am  making chicken tortilla soup and quesadillas  and  a tri color salad that I saw yesterday on Cooking with  Neely's.

I will share the recipes on Saturday.

Enjoy your weekend!

I am thankful for the many blessings in life.

If you made it through the whole list..Wow!!!  lol

I pray that today will bring many blessings to you!!
